Tide going under 12ft, 0.8m from HB. Northern strait getting a little weaker, but local wind is trong == good surf.

If you can handle the 20 knot wind, then it's good surf.
I'll wait for incoming tide.

If anybody passing by UBC lookout please take a look at Iona, at 3pm should have surf at jetty.

4-6pm first buoy with Adam and Raphael. Glassy well shaped, bigger by the end. Long rides, some chest wave sets, just a nice wave all around on big sets.

Adam left as waves got smaller. With Raphael decided to try the spit, right side again, only break on all wreck. Chest high wedges, bigger than 4-6pm, with just 0.6m and a beautiful ride to end another session.
Friday PR. I'll email time.

By right side of the spit you mean the South side right? I find there are so many big rocks sticking up when I surf there, decent break though.

Here is a picture of the boulders in the cove at Lily Point (taken at low tide back in July). Some of these were the ones you could see 'boiling' the surface on a higher tide in this gallery. Not likely an issue for the surfers, but anyone considering down-the-line wave sailing should take note and exercise caution.

I'm going to wake up at 7 and check the actuals as the timing of the front looks uncertain. TAF calling am start, NOAA calling afternoon, wind alert/ikitesurf can't make up its mind, and Windguru is all over as well.

surface image analysis looks good

seems like an epic week of fall surf headed to the Island, though I am headed to the Philippines on Monday for two months of surfin' 8-)

I've had worse...haha, one of my kids asked me how it was, and I gave it a 3.5/10!

Keelan, go get barreled, and pics or you didn't get out through the break...lol. Have a fantastic trip. See you in December with all your new skills!

Gabriel have a fantastic trip too, and no pics needed of the historic architecture...unless there's a wave in the background... 8-)
