Fixed some stuff on the website and think I may have found the reason the water temp plot wasn't displaying on certain browsers.

Good news, I requested SailFlow to add the new buoys to their data feeds and they are now online. No water temp data yet though. Big thanks to Keeldude and his https://604windswell.ca/ for finding this data!

This looks like it will be very useful, thanks for sharing.

I have updated my website at https://604windswell.ca and thought some of you might be interested.

It's a little dashboard for wave heights, tides, and sea temps for the Salish Sea / Strait of Georgia. You can search past wave height data, although the database started collecting data last week :)

Unfortunately it does not currently support Safari / iOS / iPad / iPhone except possibly Chrome on MacBook. If it doesn't work on your phone or operating system please let me know the browser and version and I'll see what I can do. I should be able to sort out Safari support soon.

I plan to include historical data for a few key wind sensor stations, though BigWaveDave and WindAlert / iKiteSurf will always have far more stations than I will have time to include.

If there are any suggestions for more features or changes I am happy to field some requests.

Oh, and I'm also looking for work as a web developer ;)

Thanks for this resource, super helpful! Cool to see the storm surge actuals, didn't know that was available.

Including some of the webcams at Jericho, Ambleside, kits could be a good addition to check wave Heights on the shore.

When's the next solid NW coming by the way, been waiting for ages!

Environment Canada has been rolling out its new Tide database (https://www.waterlevels.gc.ca/tides/en/stations/07795) and they've been displaying the Measured Tides on their website, but I've found it helpful to subtract the forecasted tide from the measured tide so you can get a better feel for how much higher (or lower) it is than expected. Seems like even 10 or 20cm is enough to significantly change the landscape on the shallow/flat beaches

I've noticed on the big W and SE days that pt atkinson has been reading 30 to 50cm higher than forecasted, so that can have a huge effect on which sandbars have breaking waves on them. More modest flows of 15 to 20knots don't seem to have much storm surge

Wonder what a tide sensor looks like, seems like one could be able to measure waves too...

Love the tide graph! Why is it limited to about a week in the future?

This can be changed! How far in advance are you thinking? I can definitely ramp up the lead time.

I thought I was noticing slight deviations in the tide forecasts in my notes but I did catch that EC's website was loading in PDT on my phone and PST on my computer. Theoretically these forecasts should remain pretty accurate for several months although they are constantly feeding new historical data to make adjustments to the long range forecasts. And you might notice that different tide forecast apps call slightly different heights.

At least a month, I like to scan through and see when the next daytime low tide is coming and your graph is the best for that I've seen yet.
