Bellingham should be good for kiting tomorrow. I would say 10 to 12m. Get out in the morning. The tide will be super low by noon.

Lucky Friday the 13th. Scored 2.5 hours on 10m North Fuse at Locust Beach from 7:30am to 10:30am with some Bellingham locals (Scott, Ricky, Dave Covert) and Steve Grider from White Rock. My first session at Locust without getting skunked. Steady S 14-18 in SMOOOOTH but shallow water (0.5 - 1.5 feet deep). Awesome day no trouble keeping upwind even with receding shoreline (ebbing tide). Learned to park the kite higher and ride slower to keep upwind. Also figured out how to waterstart without bottoming out in ankle deep water.

Many late morning arrivals including Chuck. Can't wait to return to Locust!

:D yea Alton! Stoked for you dude!

That place is like butter! I got 2 hrs in till 1pm. Pretty lit on my 13 for the first hour, I actually could have made my 9 work (!). Nice steady wind and some fun little rivelets to slash and boost off! Forgot what a nice kite my 13 is as I rarely use it! Bit of a hike to the water at low tide (and then back in again  ) but awesome sailing in bare feet with a 2mm surf suit! It's the anti-Squamish! Warm water, steady wind, friendly locals and zero attitude.

Still made the Trader Joes run and gassed up at 2:00 and still made it back to collect my boys from school in Richmond at 2:45 (well, closer to 3 actually ;) )

Decent forecast for Locust all weekend, actually, just watch tomorrow's border crossing might be (extra) nuts due to the Ride to Conquer Cancer Bike race from Vancouver to Seattle

Still amazing how the trees were not even moving in White Rock and then 20 minutes down the hwy it was 18-22!!!

Scored a couple of hours at Locust also. About 9 to 12pm. When the tide went all the way out there were some small little waves setting nicely. Glad u scored Alton. :D

I was wondering if that was you on the blue surfboard ... shouldn't you be on strike? ;)

Good call today. Do you think it will happen again tomorrow (Sat) morning at Locust?

Afternoon shift. I would say locust may blow Saturday, Sunday and especially Monday.

See http://va14.conquercancer.ca/site/PageS ... dule_rider

Looks like ceremonies in Surrey start at Saturday 7am and they will be crossing at the Peace Arch.

Sounds like you had a great day. I kept expecting to see you at Centennial.
Was the water deep enough to windsurf today?

Locust was too shallow for windsurfing - usually is but not always. I would have gone for a second session at Boundary Bay but I didn't realize it would last so long. Glad you guys scored this "unforecasted" session.
