Any recommend local suppliers for Amsteel? Perfect timing on this thread as both of my de-power lines are showing wear on two bars. How well does Amsteel work on a system with a cleat?

In North Vancouver, I go to Donaldson Rope http://www.donaldsonrope.com/

Maybe you can try Steveston Marine https://www.stevestonmarine.com/

I use Amsteel with all my cleats. However, over time (every 2 years) you will have to replace them as they wear and start slipping. Be sure to test the Amsteel line in your cleat for the correct diameter - checking for slippage.

I've been recently riding with a newly replaced Amsteel de-power in uncivilized wind (30+ knots) on my Ozone bar and it works like a charm.

Sometimes cleaning and lightly sharpening (with a file) the teeth of the cleat will do the trick.
