I see on Friday and Saturday we might get some East North East, not sure where is the best location for this wind? Does anywhere get enough reach for the wind to be clean ?

Bring extra layers, I was at 3rd today from 3-7, the temperature dropped from 9 degrees to 5 by the time I left. Its going to be even colder tomorrow morning!!! NE was fun cause you could easily rip all the way up to point Roberts and back down in one or two tacks. Outside bank on the rising tide produced some clean knee to waist waves, should be similar tomorrow. Wind is forcast to be stronger hopefully it will be cleaner too, very up and down today.

Lucas, how windy do you think it was at 3rd last night?

Blackie was 16g35 over the same time frame. Not punchy gusts, more like 1 minute pulses of varying wind speed. The low tide does not leave much room to ride.

Temperature certainly was falling, today will be very cold.

Cheers for the offer. Departure is dependent on little ones nap time (20 month old). Best doing your thing. Looks like a nice drive today.

Fingers crossed it not too gusty today, reading 6 knots btw avg and max ATM on blow me.

@ Tweegster probably 20kts to 30kts, it wasn't overly gusty, just up and down, seemed more up nearing the end of the evening. Had some massive boosts when timed correctly in the flats between the sand bars.

Chilly. Temp was 5 while rigging and it was cold. More so on the water (even after I put the gloves on). One kite up. Wind punchy, but workable for the most part. Graph over-reporting. Flat 'speed ditches' on the inside (but not the right wind angle to use them effectively). Small onshore wind-waves on the sandbars on the second bank and a fun rolling shoulder of wind swell out in the deeper water off Maple Beach. Wind gently ramped up until until dark.
