Signing the petition is a great first step. I would like to encourage those of you, like me, who would be devastated by a loss of access to the Spit to take the time to write a personal letter or email to local, provincial and federal politicians. Tell them how important access to the Spit is for you. Don't wait for a standard form letter from SWS for all of us to send in. My hope is that a personal message will have more impact and those involved in the decision to remove the Spit will consider alternative solutions that can be a win win for us and the fish.
Please encourage your friends and other kiters to do the same.
