I guess that's the outflow. What wind speeds can be expected over there in the summer.
During the summer, Porteau Cove experiences inflow Southerly wind in the afternoon. About 50% frequency, at best, compared to Squamish.
The wind speed is much less at Porteau. Most guys at Porteau would be on 7.0, 8.0, 10.0 sails, compared to 4.5 to 6.5 at the Squamish Spit. Something like that.
Often the windline is pretty far out too, so good to have a big enough board to slog out and back. Check the currents too, can make it hard to stay upwind if ebbing tide!
