With tide above 4' all day and GFS Spotter forecasting 6 hours of 30+ knots launching at 4 pm on a 6' tide could be 'interesting'.

As an FYI a south forecast switching south west, west is what offered my best ever Acadia session 3 years ago:

That could be an option worth watching/dreaming for.

The south pushed wind swell wraps around UBC peninsula and diffracts = long period.

Thanks for heads up (definitely not something I was watching for), but the current afternoon GFS plots are forecasting Acadia to be the 'hole in the donut' on Saturday afternoon (not good for Acadia) it will be interesting to see what the RASP forecast shows tonight.

GFS spotter plots downgraded and are now showing 3 hour 30+ knot afternoon event for WI.

Just getting on the better side of a nasty cold so don't worry about me going to whitbey at 30 knots (my perfect record there would wreck it for everyone ;)). Maybe White Rock though (my skunk rate here is quite low). Anyone recall the tide level that allows kites to launch/land on the beach? 3m?

Depth/Tide:
It is possible to sail at White Rock East Beach on any tide height and even low tides don’t pull the water that far away.

<1.5 m: Medium walk (bench fully exposed)
2.5 m: Short walk (bench partially exposed)
3.5 m: Water to the shore (nice waves)
4+ m: No beach - pounding shore break

I believe it's 3.5m so we're good to launch at WR East Beach most of Saturday

It's rideable now on the SE in WR. Going to wait until noon or so to fulfill family commitments. (Which seems perfectly timed with the forecast)
