Greenlake OSR. 4 kiters out .

A little icy due to warm temps last week but got 6 inches of fresh snow on top.

We started at 11:30 till 4:00.
Wind is light probably 10-15kn. But it's enough for 8 or even 6m.

Had two problems today. My kite leash get detached and I had to run 200m to catch my kite. Thanks that It happened on land not water. After I spent 30 min with lines it was mostly dark. I started going downwind too fast, lines get slack and then back in full power, lost control felt and was dragged for 5m.
So lesson one for me double check leash, two don't go downwind too fast.

Does anybody know if the Green lake still frozen?

Forecast looks good for Saturday.
Van(+6)-Whistler(+2)-Lilooet(-1), with 20kn outflow in Howe Sounds.

Wind didn't come today. It wasn't warm enough in Vancouver. Sunny on a lake, no fresh snow like last time, only ice. Did one run and wind died completely .
Outflow switched to inflow.
Saw whitecaps on a way from Whistler.
Squamish had regular thermal wind 20-25kn.

Is Green Lake frozen?

With long lineups at Cypress, snowkiting whould be good option.

I’ll find out. I’ll be in Whistler RV campground now until Jan 3

Thanks AJ for update. Doesn't look solid yet. Don't want to get wet or snow kite in wetsuit :D?
Will go to BB, there's good forecast on Wednesday, and rest of the week.

Lake is frozen. Last Saturday was there. It was ice rink, I with I had skates, instead of skis. Wind was good only for 1h for my 9m.
Another 2 kites and 1 wing.
Hopefully will be better this weekend.
