google flight explorer. I saw the same flight CAD$400 total, non-stop air canada weeks ago. Even then it's expensive to me as you can travel Seattle-London CAD$470 total (October 2017), with 1 day stop at icleland to see the city. Given that YVR-Madrid was CAD$457 total last year ... there will be something soon to other places.
YVR -Lima is cheap $560 (go yvr deals .com), great surf there, but crime is high so I would not bother unless you'd like some adventure.
