Has anyone ever kited at Tulum? I'm heading down there for a week on Saturday and I'm taking my kites with hope for some wind.

I've read it's very good, but it's big kites so pack large.

I stayed at Bahia Principe Tulum. Unfortunately there was only one day windy enough to ride on my 12m, the week before I went looked much better. With booties on to walk over the coral I was able to ride right out of the hotels beach with some nice knee to waist high waves. Managed to get free oversized baggage with WestJet is always nice! We took a trip down to the Tulum ruins and found the temple of the wind gods and made a small sacrifice for an awesome Squamish season.
