Not a bad 2 hour session at Ferry Terminal. Not a bad turnout either ~10 kiters

Good to hear that most got some TOW today. The stars didn't align for me so living vicariously through the posts, sensors, and webcams. Thanks to those who posted!

Looks like Whidbey Island was the place to be today though. Next time.

I had a good 2 hours on the water at kits, fully depowered in my 12m for the first hour then the wind backed off. 2nd hour was fun riding with 3 others who missed the best of it. Could see everyone down at Spanish banks enjoying the wind in the sunshine, how were the waves at Acadia?

Love to hear a wind and wave report for Spanish Banks and Acadia. Jericho sensor (maybe off) suggests too much off-shore wind.

Peeps were on 3.7 to mid 5's at Acadia. Waist-high swell. Was sunny. Good turnout. Enjoyed by Aaron, Amy, Andrea, Aardvark, Amaryllis, and many more.

Spanish Banks launch with 9M. Crappy choppy water so had to put to work 3-4 months of yoga and tips from yoga master. Worked up to Acadia. Much better. Definitely not epic waves but much better water than Spanish Banks.

Great 3 hours (12:30-3:30pm) at Iona Beach with Adam, Lucas and Chuck!

Enjoyed the Trident Warehouse Social with Adrien (aka Ed Snowden), Ezzylover, Carol, Brian, LeopardSkin, Rob F, Joe Blow, Francis and Lucas.

Later Lucas and I met at Spanish Banks at 11:30am. Since we arrived too early we decided to check out Iona Beach and found Adam over-powered on 15m. Lucas took his 12m+TT and I took my 9m+surfboard as Adam downsized to 10m+TT. Started with full de-power in W 25+ at 12:30pm then gradually dropped down to W 20 by 3:30pm. Chuck joined us on the last hour on 9m+TT.

Found some small knee high waves 30 feet apart near the jetty (good for a few hits) but mostly flat. Felt totally safe under warm sunny sky and waist deep water so continued to boost comfortably the entire session.

First time at Iona Beach so I'll give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Totally safe and shallow with a long shoreline perfect for beginners. Very civilized heated change rooms with outdoor showers. Only downsides are long walk to water and small waves. Also (like Yogi Bear) need to dodge the park rangers who don't want windsurfers or kitesurfers there.

Totally wiped out after 3 hours of boosting ... but smiling with a teletubbie tan.

Somehow I really like the waters at the ferry terminal. I feel euphoric after a NW sunny session there. I wonder if the weeds in the area may have something to do with it.

Good afternoon in WR as well. NW made it in by 1:30 and stayed until 4:00. Well powered on my 12m, some on 10m. When wind got into 20s it started coming over the bluff (side off) rather than wrapping around it (sideshore). I think lack of thermal in the farmlands to pull it more west??? Good times in the sun shared by Mark, Chalmers, James, motor Brian, regular Brian, Doug, Phillipe and a few more. Good way to celebrate the wife's birthday... :?
