only way to learn, fix it until no more (duct tape/glue/sanding paper should do it). the joy of beating the crap out of that kite without reservations is worth the hassle.

just keep those photos private after a major fix (when IT don't look normal anymore), and don't post those pics so early in the morning, specially after breakfast.

I think my beater surfboard is a concoction of the above, 1000+sessions, tough as nails, a glance brings a frown ;) ... anything that keeps it out of the landfill is a plus.
