Flag Out Lines Replaced

Kitesurfing shop talk

Recently I replaced the flag out lines on my Ozone and North kitebars. Although they're normally not under load, flag out lines wear out quickly due to chafing with the control bar. Luckily Clayton and Sam spotted and warned me about the excessive wear on my North bar. Please check yours too. If your flag out line breaks, your kite is going to dangerously power up and you'll have no choice but to eject your kite.

For under $10, I replaced them with marine line but had to make eye splices which was easier than I expected. You can do a professional job with no special tools - just masking tape, marker, sharp blade, dental floss and a sewing needle.
