Maui Day 6

Windsurfing shop talk

Picked up a Evo 110 when things looked light and rigged a 5.2. Things really started picking up when I hit the water but I worked my way up to Camp One so I didn't want to come in and re-rig. Was way over powered all day but it was fun playing in the big swell outside but the waves were hard to find inside. Sailed for 3 hours straight without a break. :o
Here is a video of the best wave of the day. I was so excited to get home and check the footage and of course at the precise moment a water drop covers my best hits of the day. You'll just have to imagine what it was like. :D I was really powered up when going into my top turns, sweet! Frustrated there aren't more waves though. :( The Evo 110 turned really nicely but was not great for going up wind. Maybe only 1 or 2 days left of sailing, don't want to go home. :(

Looks and sounds like a blast. Too bad about that water drop! It's like you said, just when the action starts then...

I like that you can really hear the power of the wave in the lip smack! Nice!

I think the mast mount is a pretty limiting option though.. except for vertical jumps where you can see all the horizon and surroundings. You should try sticking a helmet mount attachment on for your last days!

Enjoy.
