Just arrived a little while ago. This place is awesome. Wyatt Miller introduced me to the town. Super nice guy.

I'm going to get my rest now in preparation for tomorrow's "hopefully" nuclear day.

Will keep you posted of the wind situation here.

Nice one AJ! I was looking at going as well. I saw those cheap flights on the 2nd and was very tempted. Looks like you timed the weather perfectly as well. Keep us updated and please say hi to Wyatt for me! Have fun!!

Day 1. January 3, 2015. La Ventana, Mexico

Awesome turnout -- too many to count both windsurfer and kiteboarder.

At 8.30 am wind was approximately 12-15 knots. Got out for 2 hours with 5.4m/95L

2 hours later wind picked up to 18-22 knots. Rigged a 4.7m/95 L this time.

1 1/2 hour went by, wind was cruising at about 20-25 knots. Rigged down to 4.4m/95L this time. Then rigged down to 4.0m/85L.

Got off the water at 4.00. Still windy but thought save some strength for the next 9 days.

Then went cruising with an ATV.

Day 2. January 4, 2015. La Ventana

9am-11.30 am kiting with 8 m kite. Wind was between 14-18 knots.

12.30pm-4pm windsurfing with 4.4m/87L. Wind was between 18-25 knots. Pretty gusty! Rode a few swell. Swell must have been from 2-4 feet.

Again too many kiters/windsurfers to count.

ATV riding is so much fun.

Met one of the Squamish jet girls here (Aileen). And a few other Squamish faces...

A few questions! Where are you staying?

Also, which airport did you Fly into and have you bothered renting a car? Did you bother bringing your larger kites?

Looking at a warm weather getaway soooon!! :)

Wow. Very long sessions. What kind of windsurfing gear are you riding? You should try as much as you can before you upgrade this summer.

Hey Chuck...Staying at ProWindsurfer (managed by Wyatt Miller). Windsurfing rental is included. I flew to Los Cabos (shorter than flying to La Paz). It took 2 hours to taxi from Los cabos to La Ventana. Taxi cost me $40 (shared with 5 other people). I brought my one and only 8m kite. Put it in golf bag and never got hassled by US Airways.

The water is indeed warm. But the North wind is pretty cool so I still wear 3/2 mm wet suit full bodied. But my 2/1mm shorty wet suit was just fine too. And it is sunny!
