The article misses a few points. Ceasar gave us a lesson when we were there. 12 knots is the optimal windspeed, he does them with his 4.4 which is the sail he uses most for normal freestyle.
The most important point is that the sail needs to be flicked or twisted anti clockwise about its longitudinal axis as one releases it, otherwise it won't come back.
