Thanks Dave for posting that OSR! Ended up winging for 3 hours in spring like conditions. Wasn't sure I could make it work at first. It was a lot of work but I managed to get the 980 going with the 5m wing. Had to make a few adjustments with mast position and ended up taking off my footstraps. Thankfully the wind picked up a little bit for the second half and it was more fun. Nice to be able to get on the water in 12 knots of wind!

Good for you to get up on foil on a 5 meter Michael you must be an efficient pumper. I don’t think I could have. How many sq cm is your 980?

Thanks Dave, it was hard work, my arms and shoulders are hurting now. The 980 is 938 cm2 but has an aspect ratio of 10.23 and pumps very efficiently. I'm definitely going to get a downwind foil board for those light wind days, the 72L was just too much work. You were on the right gear that's for sure!
