Lost Windsurfer in the Straight

Windsurfing shop talk

by windsnow40 » Fri Jan 01, 2021 6:46 pm

My Naish Global M windsurf board became detached from my rig in the break at Columbia Beach today. I tried in vain to retrieve it down the beach, but the current and wind pushed it further north and out to sea. Discretion is the better part of valour, so I gave up and swam back in after 30 min of going after it. Coast guard has been told the rider is safe.

If you find it I would be grateful for its return.

Picture of the same board below.

Thanks.

Shitty!!! Good reminder to put my name and phone number on my gear. Hope it shows up on a beach soon.

Hopefully someone local finds it.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it managed to get across the "globe". It is designed for it.
