Alton wrote:It's cranking onshore at White Rock. Parked at Indian Reserve (free parking). Plenty of sandbar so going to self-launch here on 7m while it's still civilized.

Come on out

Get out there soon before the tide gets too high.

Blow-me says blowing hard but it sure doesn’t feel like that maybe 18-22 SW at Ferry terminal. Skies are clear and still look civilized out there but am waiting to blow harder for better pleasure so just have to rig one kite 5m.

SW 35g50 at Sandy Point Shores, hope everyone stays safe, especially once the tide comes in!

Yup that’s about right. FT became so nasty ~35 to 40 that had to call it quits with 5m kite. Seems to have back down but no I’m getting ready for the 2nd round of nastiness and rigging 3.1^m + 74 L windsurf

Everybody came back safely and with happy faces

At Acadia. It looks like the wind is starting to turn west. It was dead flat and calm until 5 minutes ago. I’m going to wait around for a bit and see what happens. If I sail I might not launch here though, there are lots of logs bouncing around all along the shore. I guess I could launch ok but getting back in could be a lot harder. Step 1 is wait for wind.

EPIC. Early start before 11am self-launched 7m+surfboard on the sandbar. Started off very civilized in SW 25 with only 4 of us (including Chalmers and Cash) riding under sunny sky enjoying glassy sections between waves. Then it ramped up to SW 35 for some survival riding so quickly adjusted my kite for the high wind setting - way better. Most of the session was a little up and down with a couple of major lulls and many intense gusts when the sky darkened.

As usual heading westbound required by traversing tight ramps (like riding a bucking bronco) that paid off with sweet gybes across smoooooth foamy sections. Some of my favorite breaking waves were east by the railroad bridge where clean gybes were followed by tons of toeside hits.

By 1:30 the waves become disorganized as high tide flooded in with well over 20 kiters and 5 windsurfers. Called it quits after 2pm (over 3 hrs TOW) while there was still some beach to land my kite.

What a fantastic way to start the work week ... not working !!!

Wow! White Rock wasn’t as windy as I expected but was it ever fun! Nice waves to jump, surf and play around. Everybody had a smile on their faces and the onlookers had quite a show to to look at. Can’t wait for the next one!

Triple session:-). 5m kite then 3.7 windsurfing and topped it off with 8m kite

There was quite a 2.5 hour lull that people became impatient and left but I hang around until it sailable again @ 5pm
