Windsurfing shop talk

Is anyone still happily windsurfing without an ACL or know someone who is? I just got the bad news today and surgery may not be a good option.

I have a partially torn ACL and I’ve never had issues windsurfing with it. However, I’ve never had stability issues with it for skiing, hiking or snowboarding either. I don’t feel confident when doing sports like soccer with it though. I’ve actually decreased the amount I ski and took up snowboarding again because I figure I’m one ski crash away from a fully torn ACL. In short, I guess I have a minor tear and windsurfing doesn’t pose any issues with it.
