Who in the lower mainland carries a wide range of metric screws? Rona and Home Depot here don't seem to have anything. Thanks.

Dunbar lumber in Kitsilano has a really good stainless hardware selection.

Pacific Fasteners on 1st just east of Boundary.

I’ve shortened a few bolts over the years and I now have a better method than just clamping the bolt in a vice. First I clamped a cutoff from a 2x8 in my vice so it’s vertical. Next I drill a hole in the wood. On my bolt I wind on a nut , put it through the hole, then wind on a second nut that clamps the bolt and ends right where I want to cut the bolt with my hacksaw.

Anywhere in Squamish have good stainless hardware? What I found at home depot doesn't really cut it.

I get most of my hardware from https://www.mcmaster.com/ . They only ship to Canada if you have a business. I can confirm that Pacific Fasteners has M6 from 50mm to 75mm. That is the range I was looking for. They didn't have 65mm in stock. Good luck.
