I am wondering if the death chop at the mouth of the river is worse at low or high tides?
My guess is low tide but I've never given it enough attention to be sure.

high tide (with stronger wind) = death (voodoo) chop
low tide (with sandbars exposed) = butter smooth

I haven't spent tons of time up in Squamish yet, but to me it seemed particularly bad on a low-mid rising tide (sandbars already covered). Makes sense to me with river current meeting incoming water... if I'm wrong please correct ;) I'd love to know the best times to avoid it!
