Watched the wind and waves for a while at Spanish Banks and Dog Beach. Someone was on a 5m and a foil for quite a while, a bit before it really cranked.

Johnny got to enjoy a couple of rides on a 3.7 and 3.1.

Too windy for my taste. Rigged 3.1 m at Acadia and then 6m at SB. I hope it’s not crazy like this tomorrow at Green Lake. Hope to see someone there

Today felt like an angry Oregon coast day. Could barely hang onto my 3.1. Nice clean head high swell towards the channel but hard to capitalize with so much wind. Easy launch from dog beach with the wind so NW. Managed 3 reaches and thanks to Doug, Alton and Craig for keeping an eye out on me.

Also thanks to you Johnny for checking on me at Acadia.

I had a quesy feeling about Acadia today with that October session still a recent memory.
Michael, Daryl, Gleb and I were lit up on mid 4s sails at White Rock (no kiters). Wish the folks that went to Acadia and Spanish Banks joined us but I guess it was hard to tell if it would reach WR.

Alex. Any pics from LHP today? Curious as to the wave size and period with the strait lit all day.

Gambled on WR today and it turned out to be the right choice. Arrived just before noon but not much wind at the beach but you could see a distinct wind line about 500 m off shore. Waited for about 30 mins and rigged my 4.7 and took out the 101L. Well powered on the inside and overpowered on the outside so came in after a couple runs and switched to my 73L and tweaked my sail to handle the 30 knot gusts. First time sailing a NW at WR as I've only sailed there on a SW or W. Nice side on conditions so you could almost head straight into the waves and ride front side on the way back in if you found a big set wave. Not pretty but there were some nice sets coming through. We all should have rigged down to our 4.2m sails but it was gusty and some of the lulls made us power through with the mid 4s.
Great jumping on the way out and saw one of Michael's backie attempts. Tried 2 myself but stalled half way through and just landed on my back both times. Would have been a good day to attempt forwards but didn't go for it. Had to leave at 3pm but Michael and Gleb were still out. Great second day in a row. Maybe #3 tomorrow...? Solid outflows (Furry Creek) start tomorrow afternoon for a few days but not sure the temps yet.

Was the tide low enough to launch a kite today?

I was confident the wind would reach WR but was worried about too much north creating unstable wind for kites.
