Man ok! Bottom line. The Vancouver windsurfing scene is fucking lame.!
This is why i am selling extra gear.

No i am not taking up kiting. Pffff!!! What!!! Come on....

The amount of wasted time at the waters edge kicking sand, and waiting for good winter wave sailing, far out weighs how amazing windsurfing can be. Summers at nitinat suck because it sooo friggen crouded squamish too. This has been a 2 year prying of my hands from my boom. But there you have it!
Time to throw in the towel and not miss out on anymore important time with my kids wife or other sports that don't let me down.

Hope this solidified any irrational conclusions...

Hey Adrian,
Just to be clear, does that mean you are quitting? :(
Seriously sorry to hear that, you will be missed.
All the best,
Simon

Between Foil and TT James in WR has managed to work a full time day job and be around 60 sessions in ‘19...... there is light in the dark slide, I mean side.

Yup it's tough being a windsurfer in Vancouver. The best thing i ever did for windsports in Vancouver was bolt a foil to the bottom of a slalom windsurf board. No more waiting for unicorn 20+mph to windsurf, waiting for low tides at Acadia, or lifeguard season beach closures to end for kiting. Give me a hair dryer solid 12mph (there have been lots of these days so far this spring) and i am happy. Oh and used gear is dirt cheap as seen in this posting.
