Swap isonic and roberts slalom for boom and mast?

I'm just moving house at the moment so next month is probably a lot easier for both of us. I'll put that stuff aside so it doesn't get packed.

I have a regular Tuttle Starboard Go 122L with a Windance Powerplate. The board has held up fine through probably 20 sessions 250+km this summer. That said, being a Go it's likely a heavier construction than an iSonic, ymmv. If you are interested in going down that route it could be a good crossover board.

A guy on the Island had the 4 bolts holding his slingshot to the power plate shear off, apparently the titanium ones are required.

Personally I will probably just machine my existing tuttle box mast top to fit a shallow tuttle. Or else keep my big durable board for foiling.

Hi Grant, yes I read Tempy's thread on that and understood it as the two long stainless bolts attaching the Slingshot mast to the Slingshot base plate failed. His foil leash didn't save the foil because the mast would have slipped through it on the way to Davy Jone's locker. Because of that there was talk about attaching an NSI adhesive loop to the mast in the event it happened again. It seems strange the bolts could sheer fail like that when the base plate's collar should have taken much of the load, but I know the Slingshot tolerances between their masts and plates aren't the best. I am also using stainless bolts and am considering a leash that attaches directly to the mast or replacing the two bolts with titanium.
