Windsurfing shop talk

Tomorrow morning looks like it might finally be decent big gear sailing or windfoiling at Jericho. Anyone else going for it?

I will check it in the am and go if there’s enough for 12m.

Tswassen for me and James, dawn patrol. Hope the wind follows the optimistic model and holds a little longer

Looking good right now, 26 knots at Jericho, hopefully it lasts until daylight.

Arrived at Garry Point Park shortly after 6am and rigged my 4.7 and took out the 73L. Well lit to overpowered for the first 30 mins and then it was perfect after that. Low tide but the river wasn't raging. There were some waist to chest high rollers and a few bigger sets coming through. Nice starboard ramps and decent backside riding on the way back across the river. Took a break to let a couple ships pass through and found it had backed a little so switched to my 101L. Nicely powered now and finally came off the water shortly after 9am when the lulls started to come through more frequently. Could have rigged my 5.3 and went back out again as it stayed sailable until after 10am but went for a paddle to check to see if there were any waves breaking on the North side of the river bank out near the lighthouse. The tide was too high so no breaking waves visible. It took a good hour to paddle out and back so I'll be sore tomorrow. First session since the July long weekend and nice and warm in the sunshine.
