Let's talk about foiling

So I was on my 94L two days ago in the gorge and was wondering why it was so hard !
As I was going through the chop it was not smooth at all and kind of violent, I realized I d rather foil even in strong winds.
maybe it is time for another foil ?

Same here! I went from windfoiling on Saturday at the Event Site to regular sailing the Hatch on Sunday and man it was rough on the joints in comparison, I would love to try it in the higher winds.

Cool , we probably sailed together on saturday , I was there too.

Plan B for the top surface, lack of a solid plan A was not such a great plan.

Total cost of consumables about $150USD.

Feels like I'm 90% done with half the work to go. Think I'll not bother sanding and painting until I test sail it.

Have several hours on it now. Board width and box position seem to match the Slingshot perfectly. Slowly shaking off the foiling rust. This board is easier in the air but my formula was more forgiving of mistakes.
Got a few small chips in the glass over the box which I think are from not chamfering the edge enough, simple fix.

Nice ! which board did you use for that ?
thinking about converting the 111 futura or even something smaller.

I wouldn't want anything narrower and at my weight this is a good volume.

Now I'm going to work on some add-on pieces to get a more flat foot position. That's a common design feature of foil boards and after today I see why. I was pulling up with my toes to keep it level.
