Yes I would go for the most volume you can get. Wonder which one feels bigger uphaling?

There is some confusing information on Windance/Exocet website. Here is the details. The R71(125l) & R81(168l) will only come in AST construction. The R71,R81,R91 (195l) & R100 (215l) will be in carbon. If you are using the board for free riding, I would stick to as small as comfortable. The 195 & 215 liters are for pure racing.

The reason that the RF 91 is displayed on WIndance website as AST is that they were thinking about offering it - that is what Dave told me at Windance.

Where was his mast pad thing when he crashed? I saw it on the mast before and then him futzing with it after...

Watching this video, I don't get how a person can confidently go out and not worry about damaging their nose.

In the comment section he said he forgot to put it on. Play it at .25 normal speed. At 3:46-3.52 the mast protector is not below the boom. When he's putting it on he's standing, so I assume he went back to the beach.

I've had many crashes like that. I shaped two play foam tiles and stuck it on the nose of my board.
After watching this I will add the mast protector pad or something similar at the contact point for added protection.

Some options for nose protection include...

carbon: https://www.carbonprotect.de/carbon_e.php

foam from Ion: https://shop.ion-products.com/en-gb/acc ... from_water

I've read of people putting holes in their nose so they can strap pool noodles on to the nose/deck of their board. Exocet even put holes in some of their production foil boards. https://www.exocet-original.com/rf-foil-ast-c2x29553040

Some good ideas here: https://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Win ... or-?page=1

Somewhere else on the seabreeze forum (I think) I saw where a person uploaded the profile he uses for foam protector that goes over the mast. I can't find it right now though.
