Are you talking about a centered rear footstrap position?

I foil on a board with a central strap option. I think if I ever try jumping I'll want it, maybe if I every get up the guts to run downwind really powered.

But for just recreational foiling I'm not sure any rear straps are required.

I put footstraps in front and foot hooks in the back. I find my back.foot needs to move around for balance

Same for me, pointing upwind my rear foot is all the way at the edge of the board. When on a beam reach/cross wind it's in the center, and when going faster/gusts or downwind it's centered but way forward.
