It appears to accelerate like one too based on those videos.

From Alpine foils:

To do this, we first chose to shape a fuselage aluminum machined in the mass , because this process allows to take advantage of all the properties of the material. The machined aluminum is perfectly homogeneous, its mechanical performances are intact and it offers the possibility to model an incredibly fine fuselage. Therefore, we meticulously calculated the stresses on the windfoil fuselage so that the ratio between rigidity and fineness is optimal: each existing zone must be perfectly useful. The result is an ultra-stiff, ultra-thin product that provides the ultimate glide feel , as well as exceptional lightness .

This fineness is achieved in particular thanks to the FRDS technology (Fuselage with Reduced Drag System). This system developed and developed by AlpineFoil consists of modeling a fuselage with a leading edge at the bottom and a trailing edge at the top so as to guide the flow along the profile. Thanks to the FRDS, the flow is perfectly laminar , the drag is clearly reduced and the glide is extremely fluid .

This kind of behaviour is not acceptable ... as such Alton has been temporarily banned from WTFBC

Wowsers it looks like Alton might be permanently banned. It's been about a month!

I thought Alton was god on wtfbc ….
I got to say, "kiss my piss" is a very quirky and gross expression ranking in top 10 I ever heard. I may start using it when im piss off wt a salesman or businessman

This is a kiteboard video; there is a similar foil for windsurfing from Duotone/North. They are now MOULDING wings/fuselage no layering (Carbon 50). $899 US.

Can you do this to your foil? Watch it for a minute.

Does it worth a try? Any ideas?

The biggest buy for me it will be easy to learn strapless, because the foil always will be in correct position for waterstart.

Maybe for kite, but it's a big NO for windfoil.

Powerplate Adapter (source email from Windance).

There are a series of 6-holes (parallel) running fore & aft on each side.

They are 0”-1.5”-3”-5.5”-7”-8.5”

The distance between each of the holes on the side, measured center to center is 90mm. This is an industry standard.

3 Positions of 139.7mm x 90mm; 1.5 inches from each other.

Not all foil plates have the same fore & aft distance. You may have to drill and tap new holes on either the powerplate or the foil plate.

Only Dave knows why one is measured in imperial and the other metric.

Off course the 2019 new models are much shorter, the smallest being 5 feet!
