so, click on any of the photos on that website, and the image displayed while the picture is loading shows the old 'bic' symbol, hmmm

snow- or skate- board shapes - several board brands had design-shapes a year or two ago, such as the Fanatic stubby, that could be have precursors to these.

Would be curious to see the thickness of the nose vs. tail

I'm guessing they still have most of the volume behind the mast track.

Will be interesting to see if this is the next big thing or just an evolutionary dead end.

Those are pretty unique. They're not cheap either. Definitely not something you would buy on a whim sight unscene (or demoed). The freeride board is 2450 CHF or, about $3170 CAD at today's rate.

From ContinentSeven:
Balz Müller swapped his Patrik boards and is now windsurfing on MB-Boards. Balz: “Since the first step on the new MB boards I love the smooth and nice riding sensation. They fit perfectly with my style and I feel how my level is developing. I really appreciate to work together with MB’s and get the opportunity to create my very special freestyle weapons.

This seems to be a new trend and many brands are making these.
The new Starboard Hypernut 7'4" x 30" 4in1 is the same and Fanatic has a Stubby as well.
I've got my eyes on the Hypernut though.
