What's an inhaul?
An inhaul is the rope that holds the mast to the boom. It’s the boom mast attachment.
At the other end of the boom you have the outhaul and down to the mast base extension the downhaul.

I guess sailboards have inhauls, and windsurfers have clamp-on booms!
