I have the skate BGS, 2014 (unchanged since 2010). Great all around board. Does old school carve moves well too.

Buy it! It's the best all around board on the market.

I finally got in touch with this guy and saw the board tonight. I decided not to buy it and if anyone else is thinking about it PM me before you do.

Well if you'd consider $1600 would you consider:

I THINK there is only GST. Maybe shipping incl. Maybe negotiate.

I'm sure as per Ryan that this is an awesome board and would serve you well. Not to confuse you, but I understand it is an older shape and it appears discontinued for 2018. One thing the TE version has (& also other brands I believe) is the footstraps up closer to the mast. This helps get you more forward going into a move which can be a hard change for folks that have years in at the standard sailing position. It also makes being in switch easier (think exit vulcan). Not the sole game changer in my mind but the moves these boards are designed for are HARD and every little bit helps.
