I am hoping to get down there middle to end of June / early July. Is anyone else planning a trip around then? It would be great to have company, and let the sharks have some choice  :)

Dave and I are heading down and there will be a bunch of guys from the Island as well. Dave is going on the 19 and I should be going down around the same time. Let us know where you are headed or destination is Cape Sebastian but might make a few stops along the way. Probably the Gorge for a day then Florence and then The Cape/Pistol River.

Thanks Michael, I will let you know. I want to check out Cape Sebastian, and some other stops along the way. My timing depends on work and forecasts.

Me and Yulin will likely be going in August/Sept and were planning to hit lot of spots down to San Fran... Let us know if anybody is interested.

Riding waves (ground swell) on the coast is completely different from wind swell (our local conditions) so exercise caution.

For the Oregon coast you can study http://www.windsurforegon.com

Pistol River Wave Bash Day 1 Expression Session

"Immediately it was clear that some of the riders were more comfortable in Port Tack waves than others. Phil Soltysiak sailed off the beach and started putting on a freestyle clinic, showing how he earned the position of the 5th ranked Freestyle windsurfer in the world. Other stand outs included a strong showing by Tom Soltysiak, Jesse Cohen, Jen Carlisle and Ryan Alderman. All were hitting the lip in challenging onshore conditions and navigating the inside shore break with ease. Head judge Simeon had his hands full keeping an eye on all the action, and anticipation is building to find out who will be the 2017 IWT Pistol River expression session champion."
