I'm hoping for a late afternoon sail followed by a post-session burger at the pub while we wait for the tunnel to clear!

I've had 6 SE days in 2017. Missed about 4 for POW days at Cypress.

Worried if Friday becomes too strong (over 30 knots), wind will flatten the waves. Afternoon tide is 3.4m so I'll be expecting a lot of chop at 3rd Ave/Centennial

I would have more fun if forecast downgrades to SSE 25.

What's this silly talk of downgrades?! 3.4m isn't a super high tide for BBay is it? Surely the rising from 2.6m at 10:30am will provide something!?

Maybe "downgrade" is a poor choice of words. I'd prefer is wind "eases off" to SSE 25g30 ... but no less. I don't like how waves flatten out when wind exceeds 30 knots.

Don't need super high tide for really bad chop to develop at BBay so fingers crossed for clean waves.

My favorite waves seem to happen when sandbars are about to appear ... but that requires a hike out.

Just managing expectations because Friday's conditions are far from ideal.

Anyway, we want the same thing - epic wind and waves.

what??? the only reasonable reason for wishing downgrade is not having a small kite! I need a 5mlol o well, I guess I will buckle up on my 7.5m n fill my wetsuit wt 40lb of rocks. maybe I can borrow a diving weight belt? maybe I will man up and jumps over Cash kite!
