Hi Michael,

Great to see JWSP going off! Those trees all grow sideways for a reason down there :) They were calling for high end gales three days ago for all of today, through the night and into tomorrow morning in the NOAA & Oak Harbour forecast discussions. Classic westerly setup with the low crossing and filling over southern Van Isl.

Things have been busy at work but still managing to sail 2-3 days per week on the small stuff. I bought a nice 2.8 and a 340 before coming over this tour.

You'll have to check tomorrow morning and see how long the wind stayed above 20 knots. I'm guessing it'll be over 24 hours. Take it easy and hope to see you up at Nicola this spring.

Cheers,

Chris

I've taken the day off and will head down to JWSP tomorrow. Never been, looking forward to the adventure. Forecast looks very promising.
Probably go down a little early just so I can get my bearings.

Nice! Didn't know it could crank there in the summer too!

Please take pics if it's epic. Now that my immigration situation is sorted, I definitely want to check that place out.

I might join you. I'll wait and see what the wind does and maybe head down around 2 or 3.

I'm concerned that 11' high tide at 6pm may be too high. I asked the question (waiting for response) on the Bellingham Board Sports forum.

Lucas - are you going to pull the trigger for Whidbey?
