Squamish - This Weekend OK for a Newbie?

I am thinking of trying Squamish (Nexen) for the first time this weekend. Is it worth going this weekend or should I stay local? I don't need a nuking day at Squamish. Looking for just enough to make it worth while, find my comfort zone, practice some waterstarts, and ease in to Squamish. EC shows 20-25 southerly inflow 15 to 25 Saturday afternoon for Howe sound. Is that good?
