GB: That rugby helmet looks a little soft (like just a liner with no external skin)? The second skull looks tougher for sure (impact testing in the video). Did you consider a helmet designed for watersports or surf specifically (reef impact)? Like Gath or Protec?

C36: Hard shell helmets would be the best for protection. A few times I got hit by my own board but I was looking for something foldable (travel size) when things don't look good in the water and nobody's around.

Got the impact vest, eyewear too, I'll pick up George's gear this week, that should do it for windsurf 'safety' gear (mouthpiece optional, but I got one just in case :shock: ).

Good luck at Oregon and keep posting photos.

2nd skull has good reviews, that's why I posted if anybody was interested.
