Windsurfing shop talk

Noticed a 14" long split in window of my 5.6m while rigging yesterday.
Any advice on repair or replacement of sail is appreciated.
Does Dennis from North still live by Capilano rd. ?

Dennis lives on Keith Road at the Capilano Hwy 1 exit. Call him at North Sail before you drop off your sail at his house.

Take it to Gorge surf shop at the next swap meet end of May, they do overnight repair.
If you don t go, I can probably find room in my van to drop it off.

Yes. Many years ago I used to watch Francois ride the river with 70% tuck tape

I took my 7.5 Retro to Denis at North last year after my head popped through a panel in preparation for a beach start  . I believe it was only $40 bucks for the new panel and was pretty quick. How much is a roll of tuck tape and how long will it last? I've got three sessions in so far this season and all are on this repaired Retro. A good solid repair at a reasonable price. I'm fortunate that North Sail is only a couple blocks from my home.

$40 for the sail plus $40ish for repair. Still a great deal!

I should buy a roll of tuck tape for emergencies. Any ol' roll will do or is there something special?
