Also IV I hear can be epic on a strong SE and it looks like they might get it.

Caution should be exercised at Island View
on a big wind, high tide day. I have only sailed there once, but it was one of the most challenging launches I have ever experienced (and my local launch on Lake Ontario had big shore pound). IV can have it all - BIG shore pound, pitch-poling logs, strong current. I think I was 2 for 10 that day and I was being VERY patient about choosing my times to try.

Thanks again to everyone who helped with advice.
Here are some pictures from Today. There were some huge waves on the outside which were not really apparent from the beach.
Jen. It was really gusty which made it hard work.

Hey Michael
We sailed West Side of South Chestermans where the wind was cross shore, as opposed to North Chestermans where it was cross on to on shore.
There were four kiters, two from Squamish and two from the island.
Jen on 4.2 82l, Ryan 4.5. 84l. Very gusty.

We sailed out until the lee of the island caused the wind to shut down and then caught waves on the way back. I managed to get passed the island once to catch something huge that was rolling into Cox bay.

That's what I thought, that looked like cox bay, some huge surf there when chestermann is on, hard to resist. Those photos are amazing, that 4 meter wave , and that massive wall , you guys look like ants in such big surf. Beautiful photos ready to frame.
