I'm going to head down early, hoping for a 7m super session before work. Sunrise 7:55

ESE 30g35 at 7:15. Maybe 5m super session

Switched to SE 27g34, on my way.

Wave height at 2.0 meters.

Saturna isle at 45-56 mph.

Point Roberts SE surf is on right now (I just don't do SE ... where are the chocolates).

That was insane.... 40+ is right probably gusting to 45 on the outside. Had to set my 80L as a tri-fin cause with the single I couldn't keep the board on the water, even with the 3.8 I was way overpowered. Took one reach way outside to see what it was like, massive waves everywhere but so hard to ride. Extreme wipeouts going down those faces, I had to crouch right down like a surfer to stay in control. The wind lightened up and I went back up to the 4.3 and that was perfect for a while. Then the wind switched SW and it started to drop but I finished the day off with 2 solid back loop attempts before the wind died. :D :D

45 knots on 2.4m hb swell, probably the most extreme local conditions of the past 5 years ... it seems you had a red bull storm chaser moment. Go home, have a beer as nobody can take it away from you ... hopefully Alton had his leash on.

I now ride with a leash. Actually regressing now. Was riding strapless and leashless. Now riding with straps and leash. Go figure.

Definitely a storm chasing day. Started off considering my 4.5. Saw David (Tsawwassen) fully lit on 3.7M. Made the smart move and rigged the same. Everything Wind was so strong it was hard to keep the board in the water. Found the gust trying to tear my equipment away many times. I couldn't gybe at all on the outside. Great fun though!!

This was it.. I did not survive! I know Tuesday I said I saw one of my biggest waves at Centennial but this one today was it! On one reach I went way outside and found this set.
Unbelievable. :o After wiping out I had to go back in to shore as I was completely exhausted.

It looks like I damaged my SD card on my camera today, I think on one of my back loop attempts from the impact I corrupted the file. Too bad as I had about 30 minutes of footage on there.

Love your Chinook selfie stick. Today the waves were huge. Haven't been in D-Cup waves that big since the days we used to windsurf with Peter (and Rhonda). Maybe the good old days are back again :D :D :D
