Where are you getting that forecast from? Everything I looked at shows it's coming after dark.

Forecast it's been slowly moving from dark to late afternoon, it's not much anyway; just a heads up if there is nothing better to do.

Strait 16 knots by 6 pm. Jericho by 4pm , thermal + strait push, good enough for some kind of session.

That's all there is locally for the next 5 days.
Forecast for Jericho is shifty anyways, but once it starts it's reinforced by strait.

also forecast says rain, so thermal may not to be there but it doesn't take much.
Must have faith on the changing season and forecast usually changing 2 hours before it happens.

4:30pm-630pm

I've been watching entrance island for surf in the morning, which will not happen:

it shifted from a morning NW to an night NW then slowly moving to 6pm; but in my experience (and of course there is more people with it), strait cranking at 7pm, after dark on a NW (peaking at 8-10pm) and then disappearing is very unlikely ...models tell me that's what is going to happen, never seen it, and I don't believe it; it's either peaking at 5pm or at 2am (there is 0% chances @2am, so I'll go for 5pm).

but that's all guess on my part.

11:40am Columbia beach WNW 10 knots.
12:10pm Jericho Sailing centre -spiked 12-14 knots West (thermal with no sun)., good sign for 4pm.

we'll see if strait hits 16 knots+ by 4pm to help inlet wind

I guess forecast for 12 noon is already off, not surprised.

I don't know whether to go to Iona or Jericho after work. If anyone can post a OSR from either it will be much appreciated.

strait is NNW, Too much gusty SW at Jericho and tanking.

I would go to Iona if you can manage with 11 ft tide.

How deep is Iona at 11 ft tide, will a 30 cm fin touch bottom, you think?

OSR Iona - about 12 knots. I'd guess that 30cm fin would be ok if you walked out a little bit, but I'm not sure how much lower it will go.

Iona can't windsurf unless tide's over 12.5 ft. 12-15 knots @4pm, 500 meters away was too much to walk.
