Quick clip from yesterday afternoon. Fun session. Waves never look as big, do they?
Awesome video, really captures the beauty of the spot. Video/photos don't do waves justice, just like fish

Biggest swell height since March 2014 for a NW wind.
Did anyone surf 29th yesterday? It would be interesting to know how the estuary project has affected the waves.
Awesome double session for me yesterday. First session was 1.5 hours at White Rock in 15-18 knots South. Small ankle biter chop. At least 5 other locals out on 11 to 15m kites.
AJ Simon and I then waited for the wind at Spanish Banks. At 2pm it was gray and 10knots easterly. At 2:40 we were about to call it a day, when we say the front of the NW system approaching. It was awesome -- a dark gray line followed by whitecaps everywhere. It was challenging to get off the beach on a 10m, but on the outside it was difficult to hold on to the 10 with full depower. The waves were excellent, although disorganized with the high tide.
Going back over the bridge Ambleside looked awesome with clean breaking waves and at least 5 kites, and several surfers.
What an amazing day. Hoping for more NW's like that this winter.
