Nice one Michael! I was just thinking a local session might be a brewin' with the cloudy and lower temp forecasts. Couldn't hack the risk of getting skunked after a full day of work and having to tackle rush hour to get down there..

Duck gybes are an underpowered/medium wind favorite of mine :D They can be fun too on a 3.7m when the clew length is so short that the mast won't touch the water even if you completely blow the timing on the duck

Hey Adrien, it's always hard to tell on those light wind spring days. Last time I went for it and it was a slog fest, this time I got lucky. The webcam sure helps though as I noticed that the sensor was reading a little light ( about 2 to 3 knots but that made a big difference ) if I hadn't been watching the cam I probably wouldn't have gone. A few notes for future reference..... tide at 6 was perfect, even though the wind was light there were some really nice waves out there. I was sailing from the mile marker out the whole time occasional coming in closer to jibe. The breaking waves were about waist high and super clean and the swell outside was waist to shoulder. when the tide started to go slack around 7 the waves dropped off a lot.
