White caps, southerly, sunny, warm 20 degrees, no gear! Oh well, time to open the wine :D

The wind is usually swirly and gusty there! We go there every year to visit family and I used to always take my gear. Not anymore. The wind can come up and shut off at a moments notice and it can switch direction in a flash. It is a bummer since the lake can get quite warm and the air temp is usually great! If you were to get lucky with a good day, buy a lottery ticket as that might pan out as well.

But Skaha is nearby and known as a much better sailing location. Wind can be good at Summerland occasionally in the spring and fall too. Have to get pretty lucky in both cases though, so the locals often resort to a short trip over the connector to Nicola.
