Might get a chance to try out the new 2.7 Goya Guru G4 sail this weekend if the forecasted 50 knots shows up :D My 100kg friend should be slightly "powered" on his new 3.5 Cabrinha Radar as well

Hard to imagine you getting to use a sail that small! Enjoy!

Dave this is, hands down, the windiest place I've ever been to in the 25 years I've been windsurfing. At 110kg my 3.7 gets the most use with equal days on the 3.2 & 4.2. I got out 9 days on a borrowed 2.8 Northwave Surflite last year before picking up the Goya Guru G4 2.7.

Take a meter and a batten off this 3.7 Cash loaned me December 19th, 2012 :D

Hey Chris, not sure what happened to your post but that place looks nasty! Did the military police track you down? Sail safe in those nukin winds and don't drink the water. Hope I see you out at Nicola sometime this summer.

Hey Michael,

Thought twice about leaving the picture up and decided to ditch it. You wouldn't believe some of the stories if I told you  JWSP looks awesome from first light to noon on Saturday. Hope you can get down and score some sweet waves :D I've got a few weeks off in May and 7 weeks off this June/July. Our 8 year old son is keen on learning to windsurf this summer so we'll be at Nicola and Stump lots. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

Crazy stuff! We are lucky we live in such a great place. I'm thinking about Whidbey, if the forecast looks good I'll go. My son is also keen to learn so I'll be taking him up there as well.
Stay safe!

Totally humbled today............

Got to our sailing site on the Caspian bright and early this morning with three other friends. The van was sandblasted the last ten kilometres as we wove out through the desert oil rigs to SPS terminal. The North wind kicked in hard yesterday evening and blew throughout the entire night. I estimated the wind to be a steady 50 knots getting out of the van. The shore break was 1.5-2 meters and very hollow. I rigged the 2.7 Goya Guru and the 84L Quad. My friend was on his 68L Quad and his 2.2. I tried a half dozen times over the 30 minutes to get off the beach and was unsuccessful. The combination of steep shore break and 50 knot winds was too much for me. My friend managed to get out after a few attempts but was grossly overpowered on the 2.2 at only 80kg. Both guys kiting didn't bother pumping up. The swell on the outside was 5-6 meters with 5 meter faces on the outer break offshore.
Complete insanity today for the first session back  Tomorrow is supposed to ease off to 30 knots and 3 meter waves so it should be a little easier ;)

Just about did Alton. Felt sick rigging up the 2.7 from nerves and adrenaline!
