Spanish Banks was 10 knots for 2 hours. I was kiting with my dads board and 12m for 1 hour and 15 min. Very close to enough power. In the gusts I was going upwind but other than that going downwind. How did those that arrived later do?

My 10m didn't cut it at Spanish Banks. Struggled hard to keep my kite from falling out of the sky. Only got 4 strapless rides so I won't count it as a session. Other than Jack, only 1 other kiter on 17m nicely powered at Spanish Bank. At Locarno, Chris and Colin were ripping around on big kites and foils. Nice to see Igor, Francis and Shane lit windsurfing on Formula gear. Also, saw Richi cruising out of Jericho.

Sorry you didn't end up scoring a session Alton. Once I left I noticed the graph dropping. Yeah I thought that guy on the 17m and spleen door would do well. Was he staying upwind :o ? Lucky foilers! If I get a job over summer that is what I want to buy

The 17m guy had no problem riding upwind to dog beach and jumping. I just don't understand why he kept riding too close to me forcing me to drop my kite 6 times to avoid tangling. It was clear I was struggling to keep my kite from dropping out of the sky ... don't know what this guy was thinking ... maybe teasing me?

Very short 20-30 min downwind session on 12m kite. But beautiful warm day and the nice view made it all worth it

Sorry Kos. I forgot you were the 12m downwind of me. Glad you scored rides better than I did.

Alton I saw you out on the water working that kite like a mad man, skills are looking good for a marginally marginal day. I didn't see your car at the kiting Parking lot, did it bite the dust finally? new ride?

New ride ... but when possible I'm using the wife's 2002 Corolla for watersports. The 19 year old (340,000 km) Honda Accord is on it's last legs with transmission, engine oil issues and worst of all interior damage. There is huge rust formation problem inside the car that's growing like cancer. Recently, the back of the passenger seat fell apart from rust. Windsurfing over the past 10 years has done a lot of salt water/moisture damage. I don't want to subject my new ride to same damage which I believe is unavoidable if I continue to windsurf and kite.
