Not going to be as good as Monday but it should still be sailable. Last day of thermals for a bit so get it while you can. I wouldn't count on a second wind today either, it will probably only blow for 2-3 hours.

Today will make 8 days of thermals in a row, in February!

Wind's up, 14 knots so far and pressures looking better than expected so it might last a bit longer after all.

Not bad for February. Scored another 2 hrs at Squamish SW 25-30 occasionally overpowered on 10m + surfboard. Even though it was more gusty that yesterday, I preferred the nice 1' swell today - perfect for riding toeside. Smaller turnout today (8 kiters + 2 windsurfers) including Andrew, Brett, Kyle kiting and Francois and Dave/C36 windsurfing.

Writing the Squamish - Sailing Site Info page and Monday's charge on the spit by others motivated me for Tuesday, especially when I saw the graph jump to 25 just after 1 pm.

First time ever sailing Squamish in February - on a thermal no less! Rock star parking, nice solid wind, flat in river, organized chop in river mouth, mini-wave point break at nub of bank, chilly water, chilly digits and river is super low. Overall very fun season opener at the da spit.

Warning: pix are iPhone pictures - I forgot my camera at home is the rush of the late departure.

Amazing,
I work downtown Squamish and there was barely a breeze at lunch, and not even that at 5pm.

great "winter" session score. Might have to dig the gear out (and put the skis away....)

Fingers crossed for another great Squamish year!

Craig.
