Surf today:
Sandy amblesise 2pm-3pm with hb bank at 0.6meters, and Jericho at 12 knots and a steep incoming tide... it did not deliver. Nice to see Richi with your SUP.

This morning at Wreck beach (11am) I managed to take 2 pictures when leaving. While Acadia got 12 knots at best with no white caps, Wreck beach had some movement. Right in the middle of the beach you see some rocks, best spot to surf is in front of those rocks at 8-12ft tide. Incoming/outgoing tide is the same for Wreck (not for Ambleside, has to be incoming).

The rocky wall at the far distance, the wind must've been 18knots, close to the coast far less.
Next NW forecast seems Saturday, Feb 28th.

Thanks for the early warning Jeff! Light wind still beats a paddle! Looks like it will be a paddle tomorrow.

Lit at Tsawassen terminal on 15m and race board for almost two hours. Started out on the 10m and race board, but traded up to the 15 m. Some 12 and 13 m kites were also out.

The wind was rideable with a 12 or 13m between 8 and 12. Showed up before 11 so decided on my 10m and race board. After about half an hour it dropped so the 15 was the call. Incredibly smooth water and wind. Awesome time. :D . Was a tad windier ths last Saturday. Got off the water around 1:30. Still windy but had to go home. Some people don't like light wind sailing but I find it just the same rush as nuclear 5m conditions with the right gear. It's really cool to be going 20 to 25 mph in almost no wind. I'm curious how low wind the foil will take me. Can't wait to learn.

Nice day on the other side of the bay today, Mountain biking in the morning and than checking out Ambleside to see if all this surf talk is real. Considering there was really no wind anywhere today, there was actually some little waves and rollers coming in consistently. The 140l sup was a little too small to catch most waves but something bigger would have made for a fun day. I can see the potential and hope to check it out next time Halibut bank is .5M or better. It was great hanging with Gabriel for a while and trying to learn all the local surf secrets. Free parking and heated changing rooms to boot!
